Ecofender™ Heavy-Duty Semi-Permanent Newt Fence

Ecofender™ Heavy-Duty Newt Fence is a tough, reinforced, plastic barrier sheet used for temporarily and semi-permanent applications to exclude, or contain, newts, frogs, snakes and small wildlife - protecting them from entering hazardous areas (such as construction sites).

Our unique Heavy-Duty grade is a 2000 gauge thick, reinforced membrane designed for more demanding applications (such as exposed sites), or for prolonged protection, to provide reliable protection throughout the works.

The flexible sheet is preferred by many installers as it is much easier to work with, especially with trenching machines.

Ecofender™ Heavy-Duty conforms to the CIRIA “Wildlife Fencing Design Guide” and English Nature “Great Crested Newt Mitigation Guidelines” criteria.

Hy-Tex Ecofender™ Heavy-Duty can be fixed to a simple post or rail timber fence, and the bottom edge entrenched to provide an impenetrable barrier.

The smooth surface is difficult for reptiles and amphibians to climb.
