Bayco®
Bayco® support wire was developed specially for applications in fruit and wine growing and greenhouse constructions.
Bayco® is high tensile polyamide monofilament wire which offers many advantages over normal wire.
It is approximately 7 times lighter than steel wire, so is much easier to handle and use. Two or three rows can be tightened in one step, which saves time and manpower (especially on steep slopes). There is no friction, hot spot or rust damage that occurs because of the permanently smooth plastic surface, with pesticides and fertilisers not affecting the wire.
It is UV and weather stabilised to retain high tensile strength and elongation elastics for many years. Once secured tight, it will remain without special maintenance, even high temperatures during summer will not affect it - also the load capacity is above average.
Hy-Tex strongly recommend the use of Bayco® for all horticultural applications. We also supply specialised Bayco® fixings for tensioning the wire.
Its high UV and weather resistance as well as its permanent elasticity and low weight make Bayco® the ideal clamping and stapling wire for vineyards and orchards.
Once tensioned, Bayco® remains permanently taut. Bayco® wire will not rust and is resistant to fertilizers and pesticides. Moreover, Bayco® is ideally suited for the efficient and economical use of mechanical harvesting equipment.
The durably smooth surface prevents abrasion damage to plants. Bayco® is available in diameters ranging from 2mm to 6mm.
